Election System:

- Presidential Election: The two-round system is, and candidates need to obtain at least 50% of the vote in the first round to be elected. In 2005, Uganda abolished term limit for presidents.

- Parliamentary Election: The Parliament has a total of 529 seats, of which 353 representatives are elected by majority vote in single-winner districts, 146 seats are reserved for women, one seat per region, and 30 seats are indirectly filled through electoral colleges.

Election Process:

The Electoral Commission of Uganda announced that the nomination for the 2026 presidential and parliamentary elections will conducted from September 17 to October 3, 2025, and the campaign activities will start from the second week of October. In addition, Electoral Commission began preparations such as redistricting and restructuring of polling stations in August 2024.

Election Materials:

The election expected to be purchased this time include PP ballot boxes, some PVC foldable ballot bags, non-erasable voter ink, silver nitrate election markers, and solar. The election factory completed the sample making on the same day, and the samples were seen after the negotiation, which greatly saved the customer's time.
