Plastic Ballot Box for Uganda Elections Why the 60L Black Box Matters After Voting

A truly busy moment in an election may not be when voting begins, but after it ends. On January 15, 2026, Uganda held its Presidential and Parliamentary elections. Some polling stations experienced delays due to voter verification equipment and logistical issues, and polling hours were subsequently extended until 5:00 p.m. After voting ended, election staff still had to count the ballots and securely seal and transfer the related materials. Because of this process, boxes used to hold and protect election materials became an important part of the final stage of the election. Therefore, our long-term partner in Uganda ordered a batch of 60L black plastic ballot boxes from us. Featuring an opaque black design, these ballot boxes have a solid and understated appearance and are mainly used for the secure storage and transportation of ballots and related election materials.

This 60L Black Plastic Ballot Box is made of PP polypropylene plastic, with approximate dimensions of 59 × 40 × 33 cm and a weight of about 3.8 kg. The box has a sturdy rectangular structure, reinforced ribs on all sides, and strengthened corners, making it suitable for repeated handling between warehouses and polling stations. Its 60L capacity provides enough space for ballots and documents without making the box too bulky to carry. The lid features two hinges and two buckles and is secured with three blue plastic security seals, allowing election staff to check whether the box has been opened. Recessed handles on both sides make the box easier to carry, while the relatively flat top allows convenient stacking. The Uganda Electoral Commission logo and individual identification number on the front also make each box easier to identify and manage. After counting is completed, staff can place the ballots and related documents inside, secure the lid, and transfer the box to a designated storage location.

Uganda has maintained a long-term partnership with us, and over the years we have also supplied various election materials for major local election projects. We sincerely appreciate the continued trust of our Ugandan partners. When a polling station closes, the on-site work of an election may be coming to an end, but for this 60L black plastic ballot box, its task is only just beginning.
